Branden has been a film fan since he was young, roaming the halls of Blockbuster Video, trying to find the grossest, scariest looking VHS covers to rent and watch alone in the basement. It wasn’t until recently, though, that Branden started seeking out the classics of cinema, and began to develop his true passion for the art form. Branden approaches each film with the unique perspective of having studied the art from the inside, having both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in acting. He has been a film critic since 2010, and has previously written for Inside Pulse Movies, We Love Cult, and Diehard Gamefan. His biggest achievement as a film critic, to date, has been founding Cinefessions and turning it from a personal blog to a true film website, housing hundreds of film and television reviews, and dozens of podcasts.
Yeaahhhh what a great end to the series! What a finale! And again, as always, great podcast. I actually laughed so loud at one point I thought I was gonna wake up my daughter who is sleeping upstairs.
I’m also so glad that you decided to podcast Sense8 after Scream as if you hadn’t I probably wouldn’t have got round to watching this show and I’m so fucking glad I did.
It was a great finale. I wish I had something interesting to contribute, to enlighten or illuminate but you guys covered it all so well. Loved the Wolfgang shootout, also reminded me of Woo. I loved the location. Iceland is beautiful and it keeps reminding me of Game of Thrones. The infiltration and escape was done excellently. Everyone had their time to shine. Highlights were Leito, of course, Su drop kicking a security guard over a railing!! Wolfgang playing chicken with the helicopter. It really did fly by at just under 55mins.
So glad to hear you guys are staying online to podcast Ash vs Evil Dead. I will be listening and expect many more comments from me. Oh and just to say that I got the horror film release dates all in the correct order from Chris’s trivia night! see you on the next podcast
Thanks for finishing up the series with us, Brent! Glad you loved it like Ashe and I did. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the next series!
