Branden has been a film fan since he was young, roaming the halls of Blockbuster Video, trying to find the grossest, scariest looking VHS covers to rent and watch alone in the basement. It wasn’t until recently, though, that Branden started seeking out the classics of cinema, and began to develop his true passion for the art form. Branden approaches each film with the unique perspective of having studied the art from the inside, having both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in acting. He has been a film critic since 2010, and has previously written for Inside Pulse Movies, We Love Cult, and Diehard Gamefan. His biggest achievement as a film critic, to date, has been founding Cinefessions and turning it from a personal blog to a true film website, housing hundreds of film and television reviews, and dozens of podcasts.
Hilarious episode! As much as I enjoyed the sense8 “lovecast” last week. Chris returning this week just makes for a chemistry that is so funny.
I hope you guys do work out the difficulties for any upcoming podcasts. I would hate for you to stop podcasting. I have a couple of podcasts that I listen to regularly Undisclosed, Cast of Thrones, James Bonding, but Cinefessions is the one I look forward to the most. By far. By a bloody country mile as we may say in England. So I hope you guys continue.
Like Branden and I think Ashe I also had the same realisation during these episodes. The realisation that now I’m totally invested and I just don’t care where the story goes. I’m really enjoying these characters and even if the plot for series 1 doesn’t advance beyond character building I would be totally happy with that.
And poor Leito, I actually thought we may lose him when he squeezed the trigger. I just hope his storyline os building to a confrontation when he actually acts like the character he portrays in his Mexican films and rescues Daniella. We will find out soon enough.
Hahahaha! Thanks so much, Brent! I can’t wait for you to watch the next episodes and hear your thoughts on the situation at that point. I’m excited to finish up the season in a couple nights. Should be a fun one!
As for the upcoming shows after Sense8, I’ll be honest and say that everything is still up in the air. The holiday schedules are crazy for Chris and Ashe (I’m a banker, so it’s easy breezy for me, haha!). But we will do our absolute best to keep recording, even if it means changing up our plans a little bit, or our schedule. We really appreciate you taking time to not only listen, but comment on all the shows. Your support means a lot, and all of us are so happy to know you’re listening!
Thanks again.
