Branden has been a film fan since he was young, roaming the halls of Blockbuster Video, trying to find the grossest, scariest looking VHS covers to rent and watch alone in the basement. It wasn’t until recently, though, that Branden started seeking out the classics of cinema, and began to develop his true passion for the art form. Branden approaches each film with the unique perspective of having studied the art from the inside, having both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in acting. He has been a film critic since 2010, and has previously written for Inside Pulse Movies, We Love Cult, and Diehard Gamefan. His biggest achievement as a film critic, to date, has been founding Cinefessions and turning it from a personal blog to a true film website, housing hundreds of film and television reviews, and dozens of podcasts.
Another great episode guys and finally a good episode of Scream. Like yourselves I loved all the homage shots. The killer going after Emma was brilliant and you’re definitely not the only guys who cheered after Will’s death!!!! Also probably not an homage as it was filmed completely differently but the duct taping a wound reminded me instantly of Tarantino in From Dusk Till Dawn? Also yeah I got the Texas Chainsaw homage. But it wasn’t the last one which was Texas Chainsaw 3D. It was definitely Texas Chainsaw the Beginning as you said Branden. When they hang up the two guys to find out which one of them was a Vietnam “deserter”!!! Also I want a ‘free audrey’ tshirt. So MTV would sell at least two of them
Right! It wasn’t the last TCM, that was my bad. That’s probably why Chris and Ashe said they hated it because Texas Chainsaw 3D wasn’t as good (though I am one of the few that actually enjoyed it). I’m glad you were able to pinpoint the scene exactly, though, because that is exactly what I was talking about. Thanks for listening, man!
And great news about your upcoming podcast schedule. I actually downloaded Sense8 a while ago but haven’t got round to watching it yet so it will be great to watch during your podcasts. Looking forward to it. Also your complete adoration of Pretty Little Liars has inspired me to give that show another chance. I watched the first 4 or 5 episodes of season 1 when it first came out but it didn’t grab my attention so I left it. I’m definitely gonna watch it again! That and Bobs Burgers! Again its always been on my radar (I’m a big Archer and Life and Times of Tim fan) but if you guys recommend it then that’s good enough for me to download it
One last thing….. Hopefully in the future you might open your competitions up to worldwide listeners. I would have loved to enter and i knew all the answers bar one. Even if worldwide winners had to pay for excess postage costs??
